Atlantic Coast Child Welfare Implementation Center 2009 Forum,
“Navigating Change in Child Welfare” ACCWIC’s first Forum was held March 17-19, 2009, in Atlanta Georgia and was a resounding success! It was attended by representatives from fourteen states and three tribes from Regions 3 and 4. The Forum was designed to educate participants about the resources available through the Children’s Bureau’s National Training and Technical Assistance Network as well as the regional Child Welfare Implementation Centers in the network. The agenda included key components of systems change, including strategies to assess readiness and implement sustainable change. In addition the forum agenda included sessions specifically tailored to help participants applying for projects with essential components of the Request for Application.
